BOOK SERIES

I redesigned a collection of books by Simone de Beauvoir, a French author who focused on intellectualism, existentialism, politics, feminism and social theory. I hand embroidered the covers and slip-case in black and white to complement the authenticity and timelessness of her books, and to match the black-and-white issues regarding gender inequality. I designed them to be feminine while still reflecting the serious tonality of literary themes.
